Update on Balfron 'Gateways'

In partnership with Balfron Community Council, Stirling Council has now submitted an application to Sustrans to move to the construction phase for the two main ‘gateways’ to the village: The Clachan and Printer’s Row. You can click on the links below to view the plans.

We are extremely grateful to all those who took part in the extensive consultations over the past months: your views have all been considered carefully and have made a significant contribution to the plans, improving them and making them work for the best outcome for the village. We expect to get a funding decision from Sustrans in June. If successful, Stirling Council will then begin the process of hiring contractors. In the meantime the consultants will be working on design plans for Buchanan Street and the rest of the village. Again we shall ensure there is full consultation on these before they are submitted for funding. Thank you for your input, and we’ll keep you up to date as we know more
